“…my Stewards of the Heartlands project which is a photographic and narrative chronicle of life on the family farm from the Heartlands of America and New Zealand.”
Why do you work with farmers?
“I especially appreciate farms and farmers who have made efforts to farm sustainably and provide food for local/regional communities. I value their knowledge, skill, and perseverance.”
What’s in your kit?
“Canon 5D Mark IV and 1DX bodies, 24-105 mm, 16-35 mm, 100 mm, 70-200 mm, 150-600 mm lenses. Two Canon flash/strobe units with diffusers and radiographic transmitter for off-body placement if needed. Tripod, monopod. LED soft boxes for lighting if needed. Reflector for fill light.”
What’s your lighting setup?
“Two Canon flash/strobe units with diffusers and radiographic transmitter if off-body is desirable. Three LED soft boxes that can run off batteries if needed. And I love making available light work. If all things in view are stationary, I produce HDR images from numerous images made at different exposures and merge them into one. I do not know what "OCF" references?”
