Growing up on a small homestead in Iowa, I loved food and cooking from a young age and learned early on how much time and effort goes into producing delicious, healthy, and sustainable foods. I left home to complete a degree in Biological & Medical Illustration at Iowa State University, and it very quickly became apparent how difficult it could be to find the quality of ingredients I had grown up with in an urban environment.

Throughout college, I freelanced in website development, graphic design, and branding projects.

After college, I joined my passions for technology and food to start a business of my own: Bytable. In my role as founder, I managed business operations, built software and website solutions, and provided e-commerce fulfillment services for small and regional food businesses in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain regions. The pandemic highlighted the need to shift priorities in my life, so after 6 years in business, my partner and I made the decision to wind down operations and move back to Iowa to be closer to our families.

I am thrilled that joining Grapevine has become part of that journey, and I am excited to continue helping small food businesses succeed and focus on what they do best — making amazing food! When I’m not working, you can find me in my home pottery studio, trying something new in the kitchen, weightlifting, lying in the sunshine with my pup Maisie, or planning my next foodcation.
