Tell us about one of your favorite farm projects
“Every project I have ever worked on is my favorite. Every single farm, family, or operation holds a special place in my heart & my portfolio.”
Why do you work with farmers?
“My background is plant science / specialty crop production & when I left the ag industry to pursue photography I knew I needed to find a way to stay plugged in and still serve the industry I love. I absolutely love photographing people doing what they love. Producers are so incredibly passionate about their production of food, fiber & fuel and the opportunity to photograph them in action is something so incredibly fulfilling. It is important to me that the general public seeing ag in the way that we see it, from the perspective of people in the industry & not a skewed perspective of someone working against it.”
What’s in your kit?
“I will usually come to a typical shoot with one of my Nikon mirrorless bodies, my Z 24-70, my 35mm & my 70-200. I also always show up dressed for the elements and environment!”
What’s your lighting setup?
“Most of the time on farm I will work with available light, but I have a speedlight if necessary!”
