Tell us about one of your favorite farm projects
“My favorite was working for White Oak Pastures as their in-house farm photographer for 2.5 years and multimedia manager.”
Why do you work with farmers?
“You need to focus on what you love and what your mind is thinking about naturally.”
What’s in your kit?
“For on-farm, candid, documentary-style shoots, I travel lightly with a Nikon D810 body, 24-70mm, 2.8 aperture lens, a 60mm macro lens, and a 70-200mm, aperture 2.8 telephoto zoom lens. I want to be able to move quickly, so the less gear, the better. If I expect to take portraits or video, I will bring reflectors, and a tripod and leave them in my car. I like using natural light when ever possible.”
What’s your lighting setup?
“Prefer natural light and continuous light soft boxes for indoor shoots.”
